Array 10 Multiple Food Immune Reactivity Screen is a truly comprehensive screen for foods including dairy, grains, nuts, beans, vegetables, fruits, fish, seafood, meats, herbs, spices, vegetable gums, beverages, and additives.   Other arrays specifically screen for gluten-associated cross-reactive foods and foods sensitivity, intestinal antigenic permeability, diabetic autoimmunity reactivity, neurological autoimmune reactivity, joint autoimmunity, blood brain barrier immunity, and irritable bowel/SIBO autoimmunity.   Based on these results we can identify and quantitate our remediation recommendation to either remove these foods from your diet, limit your exposure, and/or strengthen the function of the body to better preserve the integrity of the affected organ systems (leaky gut, brain, lung, skin etc.)

A 70 year old contractor with normal BMI and healthy eating habits with complaints of “congestion” keeps him up at night. He had an allergy test several years ago, which was done by “skin technique,” and received allergy shots over the course of a year. This was done so long ago he has forgotten the results and thought that since he was eating a healthy diet, he had nothing to worry about. He tried Zyrtec and Afrin with mixed results and his wife was concerned about his snoring. His other medical history was positive for hypertension, hyperlipidemia, fatigue, and arthritis.

Fortunately for this patient, his extensive profile showed only the following foods were functionally significant for him: mushrooms (raw and cooked), safflower and sunflower oils, spinach, lemon, lime, peach, nectarine, plums, tuna (raw and cooked), and parsley.  He was surprised that such “healthy” foods were contributing to some of his symptoms.  He was able to successfully eliminate spinach salad with mushrooms, tuna sushi and tuna fish, peach pie, and lemon and lime juices from his diet.   After 4 months he began to notice an improvement in his congestion and his arthritis.  When he later moved out of state, his records were transferred to his new physician for consideration.

Further testing (Array 14) for secretory Immunoglobulin A (IgA) would be helpful in narrowing down exactly which foods and chemicals were contributing to his nasal congestion.  IgA is found in all mucous secreting cells (nasopharynx, gut, lung, vaginal). This class of antibodies function to neutralize antigen challenges by preventing these foreign molecules from penetrating the mucous epithelial layer and causing systemic reactivity.

Cyrex offers specific array testing for Diabetes, Alzheimer’s, joint and muscular tissue, Irritable Bowel Disease, heavy metals, common viruses, and chemicals used in food handling and storage.
