 A 55-year-old dentist with complaints of insomnia and fatigue and a history of “high cholesterol.”   This study highlights the actual severity of his cardiac risk by quantitating a critical elevation of Lp(a).   This congenital thrombogenic form of LDL cholesterol is associated with premature heart attacks and strokes (blood clot).  Lp(a) is not picked up by Cardiac Calcium Scans.
